Sentiment Analyzer
What is Sentiment Analysis?
Sentiment analysis is a natural language processing (NLP) technique that identifies and extracts subjective opinions from texts, classifying them as positive, negative or neutral.
What is it for?
- Social media: Monitor reactions to brands and products
- Customer service: Prioritize urgent or negative messages
- Marketing: Evaluate campaign reception
- Research: Analyze feedback and reviews
- E-commerce: Understand product reviews
- Politics: Measure public opinion on topics
- Content production: Check message tone before publishing
How does it work?
The tool analyzes words and expressions in the text, comparing them with dictionaries of positive and negative words in English. It calculates a score based on the frequency and weight of the words found.
Classification Examples
😊 Positive
"I loved the product! Excellent quality, fast delivery and great service."
😞 Negative
"Terrible product, arrived defective and the service was horrible."
😐 Neutral
"The product arrived today. It's blue and medium-sized."
Limitations
⚠️ Important to understand:
- • Sarcasm and irony may be misinterpreted
- • Cultural and regional context affects analysis
- • Slang and neologisms may not be recognized
- • Very short texts may have inaccurate classification
💡 Tip: For more accurate analysis, use texts with at least 30-50 words and avoid very ambiguous or figurative language.
